Box Divvy
We work with Box Divvy to create an experience that is really worthwhile.
What is Box Divvy?
Box Divvy is a company that provides fresh fruit and vegetables to customers.
Our participants help pack the boxes in their community, specifically Spring Farm. Then, the customers pick them up.
We started off with about 10 participants, and now we're up to around 30 enrolled.
How Does It Work?
Box Divvy has linked up with local farmers and merchants to source produce, and they need hubsters in the suburbs to divide and distribute the items to customers. We’re one of those hubsters.
The way it works is simple - Customers go on the app every Monday to Wednesday.
The online shopping cart is open during that time.
They place their orders, and then on Friday morning, the truck delivers all the produce to us.
Our team packs everything into boxes for the customers, and they come to pick them up.
From Fresh Fruit to Fun Times
The little bit of profit we make goes back into the program, so our participants can enjoy activities like bowling, morning tea, or going to the movies.
This way, we don’t have to ask parents to send in extra money for their son or daughter to go bowling. It’s a win-win for everyone.
